Shortly after the previous photo my camera gave up for the day and the following day, as it got wet. I tried to cross what looked like a firm bit of peat bog but my feet got stuck and in trying to free myself without losing my boots I fell on my back. I have now experienced liquefaction for myself. I was soaked to the skin, or at least my lower half was. My backpack protected my upper half.

We continued on the walk, but 3 of us did not go the full way to the Millenium site. I will have to see if I can get some photos from somebody else for the rest of this day and the next day.

When we got back to the hotel I took the card and batteries out of the camera and dried them and dried the battery holders but as the camera was still not working I left it sitting lens down on a paper tissue all next day and by evening it was working again.
