The 2nd day (without my camera) we went to Blind Jims Creek and looked for fossilized sharks teeth. Some of the others found some but my eyesight is not good for that unless I am lying on the beach, and even then I could not find any. They were tiny, only about half a cm or quarter of an inch long.
We then went to the Ocean Mail Reserve, and went to Hapupu reserve where we saw the dendroglyphs. Most of the group went to a seal colony, but a few of us were too slow and missed out, but I have seen seals before.
We also saw a Sunderland Flying Boat which some locals are trying to restore - what a big job. I dont know if they intend to get it to flying standard. There were also the ruins of an old German Missionary site.
