Wetlands walk. I am the one in the middle, with the stick.
Climbing back over the fence, with help.
Looking for fossilized shark's teeth.
This is where my camera got a dunking.
The next few photos were taken by Denys Marett during the day and a half that my camera was drying out.

Auckland airport somewhere near the tip of the wing.
I think this is the Hingaia River where it enters the Manukau Harbour near Karaka.
Another view of the Z shaped Wairoa Lake with just a tiny glimpse of the Mangatawhiri Lake.
My home territory. The house is probably just hidden by the nearest cloud. The two lakes are the Wairoa and Mangatawhiri water supply dams.
Our side of the Firth of Thames.
Looking up the Thames Coast with the Hauraki Plains in the foreground.
Possibly the Waihou River on the Hauraki Plains, flowing into the Firth of Thames.
This is possibly Waihi Beach
The northern entrance to Tauranga Harbour, between Bowen Town Heads and Matakana Island.
Possibly Omokoroa poking up into the Tauranga Harbour.
Mt Maunganui guarding the entrance to Tauranga Harbour.
Matakana Island, Mt Maunganui and Tauranga harbour. Somewhere out there is the stricken Rena.
